I GOT YOUR BIPARTISANSHIP RIGHT HERE…

President Obama met with  congressional leaders today to discuss the “stimulus package”.

When confronted with GOP objections he reminded them that “I won”. Further, 

But perhaps taking a cue from Obama’s “I won” line when Democrats were asked if they were concerned about Republicans blocking the package, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid had a swift one-word answer: “No.”

Across the isle friendship for the sake of moving the country forward my ass.  You could see this coming during the primaries when, despite what Obama said about his willingness to work with Republicans, he NEVER did.

Now you have a socialist leading the executive branch, the Senate, the house, and 1/3 of the Judicial.  Pelosi has already introduced a new rules package that basicallyeliminates any action by the minority party:

The rule was changed in a way that eliminates motions to lower taxes or motions to restrict spending. Pelosi gutted the “pay-as-you-go” rules that mandated that any mandatory spending increases or tax cuts must be offset. And a new loophole declares a piece of legislation an emergency when the U.S. is experiencing “sustained low economic growth.”

Furthermore, Pelosi removed a standing rule that made it impossible to hold votes open. That way, when liberals are losing a tough vote, she’ll have enough time to twist the necessary arms. The effect of the rules changes allows House liberals to push for higher taxes, because conservatives won’t be allowed to force votes anymore to remove tax increases from legislation on the floor.

Since October we have basically nationalized the auto industry.  As of today, we have nationalized Bank of America and Citi.  When will we nationalize the newpapers? The oil companies? Television? Radio?  And is it a coincidence that all this happens at the same time?  I don’t believe in coincidences.

Think this is a knee jerk reaction?  Don’t answer now, tell me what you think in a year.

Frankly, I am tired of  the idea that I should have to foot the bill because of the incompetence (at the least) or the political goals (at the very worst) of the asshats in Congress.

My retirement is gone largely because of these assholes.  The economy is a wreck largely because of these assholes.  And what happens to them?  They get an F-ing raise.

It’s time to freeze Congress’ pay, reduce their perks, establish term limits and get back to being served by public servents instead of power grabbing greedy pond scum that we have now.

Bawney Fwank and Chris Dodd should BE IN JAIL, NOT in Congress!
